Evaluation licenses of Fledermaus are locked to a single computer. To obtain an
evaluation license, you must locate the ethernet address of your computer and
include this address in the evaluation agreement. Follow
the instructions below to find the ethernet address on your platform.
Obtaining your Ethernet Address on Windows
On Windows machines, download and run the following program:
lmtools.exe
As shown in the following diagram, click on the "System Settings" tab and your
address with be shown in the "Ethernet Address" field.
If multiple addresses are displayed in the "Ethernet Address" field, just include
the first address.
Obtaining your Ethernet Address on Macintosh
On the Mac OS X platform, run the System Preferences program and click on the
Network setting icon as shown in the diagram below. On MacOS 10.3, click on the
Ethernet button, or on MacOS 10.2 click on the TCP/IP button. Your ethernet address will be
displayed in the "Ethernet ID" field.
Obtaining your Ethernet Address on Unix
On Linux, SGI, or Sun machines, download the program for your platform from the following list:
lmutil_linux.gz - Linux
lmutil_sgi.gz - SGI
lmutil_sun.gz - SUN
To locate your ethernet address, extract the file and run the command:
lmutil_????? hostid
where ????? is the name of your platform.
