Clients are eligible for a transfer only if they have a current Support & Maintenance Contract with IVS. IVS will transfer a license without charge; if and only if, IVS3D is contacted before the client's maintenance renewal date. IVS renews licenses annually on the purchase anniversary.
Under exceptional circumstances we will oblige clients who are under a current Support & Maintenance Contract when they are some way out from the annual renewal date of the license, by transferring their licenses. The cost of the transfer will be $250.00 (US).
If a client is not under maintenance IVS3D will not transfer a license to a new machine.
There are two requirements that need to be fulfilled before IVS will consider the transfer:
1. Contact IVS3D Support to verify that the specifications of the new host for the license is supported. Initially make the requested here: http://www.ivs3d.com/support/contact_support.html
2. IVS requires that the clients (the "Owner" of the license or Contact for that license) state in writing on company letterhead: the reason for the license transfer request; the hostid that the license is being transferred from and to; the platform, O/S and architecture of the new host and finally that the old license will be deleted and no further use will be made of the old license.

Once both of these have been provided to IVS3D we will transfer the license and issue the new license file to the client.
Server Licenses:
At all times Server transfers or changes will be actioned at the discretion of IVS3D Support. If IVS3D Support is contacted before the client's maintenance renewal date, IVS3D will not charge for the transfer of the server license. If we are contacted after renewal and approve the transfer, the transfer fee of $250.00 USD applies.
Please initially contact IVS Support with your request to transfer or change to a server license.
Dongle licenses:
Dongle licenses are permanent licenses (unless issued as rentals when a time limit will apply to the license file).
Lost dongles will require purchase of a new Fledermaus license. IVS3D recommends that replacement insurance is taken out on dongles to cover this eventuality.
Broken dongles will be replaced upon return of the broken dongle to IVS3D.
Please Note:
If a client is out of maintenance it is up to the client to maintain and keep safe the dongle and the license file as without maintenance we will not reissue a lost license file.
If a client is out of maintenance it is also a good policy to maintain a backup copy of the software as newer versions will not work with their license file and we will not provide a client out of maintenance with an older version of the software. We also only provide limited access to the archives of older versions of Fledermaus software (normally one major release back is archived and available for download from our website).
